Adjunct Automotive Technology Instructor 

Job Announcement

Location: Coweta Campus (Newnan, GA)

Department: Trade & Technology

Nature of Duties: The Automotive Technology Instructor is responsible for teaching adult students in a classroom/shop environment that closely simulates the environment of business and industry. The instructor provides instruction in the theory and practical applications of automotive repair.

Minimum Qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate and have completed a program of preparation in the field at an accredited private or public post-secondary institution, or an equivalent military, company-sponsored program or apprenticeship program. Must have at least three years of in-field, full-time work experience within the past seven years. Work experience should include those competencies, skills, and knowledge levels on which the instructor will be expected to teach. Applicant must possess ASE Master Certification in all eight areas.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference may be given to applicants who possess teaching experience at the postsecondary level and/or supervisory experience and to applicants who have actively participated in appropriate professional or trade organizations. Preference may also be given to those applicants who possess an Associate Degree or who are willing to pursue an Associate Degree.

Salary/Benefits: Pay is based on an established pay scale for adjunct instructors. No Benefits.
