Pell Grant
This federal aid program is available to students with demonstrated financial need who have not earned a bachelor's degree. The amount of aid depends upon the cost of the student's program, enrollment status, and the result of an analysis of resources available to the student. Application may be made using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If approved without conditions, the cost of tuition and fees can be credited against the award during registration or on the first day of the quarter and the remaining award (if any) made at a later date in the quarter. Return of Title IV Funds (Pell Grant)
When a Pell eligible student withdraws from the quarter before the 60% point, West Central Technical College will calculate the student's award according to the Department of Education's Return of Title IV Funds policy. The award will be prorated for the number of days the student earned during the quarter. Contact the Financial Aid Office for an example of this policy. |
