Federal Work Study
Print this Page

West Central Technical College participates in the Title IV Federal Work Study Campus Based Program.  The FWS program provides part-time employment opportunities during non school hours for students needing financial assistance.  Students who wish to earn a part of their educational expenses and who are selected for employment under this program will be paid at least the current minimum hourly wage. Payment will be made by check on a monthly basis.  A student's earnings may not exceed the amount of the student's official financial aid award, which will be based upon need and the amount of funds available.  Other factors to be considered in arranging a job and assigning a work schedule will be the student's class schedule, health, and academic progress.  Eligibility for continued employment will be contingent upon available funds, job performance, and academic progress.
