Psychological Services Bureau (PSB) Testing Schedule

Admission to the following Health Services programs at West Central Tech (Radiology, Dental Hygiene, Medical Assisting, Medical Lab Tech, Practical Nursing (LPNs), and Surgical Tech) includes a standardized examination developed by the Psychological Services Bureau (PSB) for students seeking admittance into health services programs.

This is a three (3) hour, computer based, timed exam consisting of Academic Aptitude, Spelling, Reading Comprehension, Information in the Natural Sciences, and Vocational Adjustment Index.

1. The cost of the Psychological Services Bureau (PSB) Exam is $60.00 and it is NON-REFUNDABLE.

2. Effective Jan 1, 2008:

   - All “No Shows” will be required to pay the full $60 fee before being confirmed for the next exam date. There are no exceptions.

   - If you need to reschedule your exam date you must call our office at least 1 week prior to your scheduled exam. You will be required to pay a $25 administrative fee for all rescheduling requests.

   - If you fail to call our office, you will be required to pay the full amount of $60 before you are confirmed for a new exam date.

3. There are NO refunds. If you wish to take the exam again, you must follow the same instructions outlined in steps 1 & 2.

4. Unless otherwise posted, the test is only offered on the Murphy Campus in Waco.

5. The test begins promptly at the designated times listed for each session. Doors will be locked once test session begins.

6. PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE!  Students will not be allowed to enter the exam once the test begins.

7. You may also wish to bring a jacket or blanket, as the testing area is often very cool.

8. Test results will immediately be displayed on your computer upon completion of the exam.

Test Dates for 2008 – 2009 School Year

* West Central Technical College reserves the right to cancel or reschedule tests in the event that a class does not meet minimum enrollment requirement.
